The obituary and funeral program for Mamie Johnson Strong, who died on August 14th, 1982. Also included is a speech about Mrs. Strong's life, written by L. E. Evans. There is also a newspaper clipping of her obituary. Mrs. Strong was co-owner of the Strong & Jones mortuary business, which has conducted mortuary services for many African Americans in the Tallahassee area for decades and is a landmark in Tallahassee's historic Frenchtown neighborhood.
