A collection of Thelma Thurston Gorham's notes and publications covering African American news, journalism, and other topics. This includes pieces on the Miss Afro-American pageant and Miss Collegiate Black American pageant, with a picture of Nue Cheer Franklin (vice president of the latter in 1985). Others cover the state of the African American press, such as a release on Gorham's study of the use of research techniques by the African American press. Others cover African American current events, Florida A&M University news, and press releases from the Florida Secretary of State.
