Description

A photograph of Lucy Moten school from the Glenn Family Collection. Dr. Devurn Glenn was a notable educator in Tallahassee, known for being the first principal of Nims Middle School and the first African American to work for the Leon County School Board administrative office. He also taught at FAMU’s Lucy Moten School, now FAMU DRS, until 1951, when he rejoined the U.S. Army.
