It contains the history of the school and the Macon community, an African American community on the North-Northeast side of Tallahassee whose settlement dates back to the 19th century. The pamphlet encourages people to donate to the effort to retrieve and preserve the school, whose alumni include former mayor of Tallahassee, James R. Ford.
