A letter by Rev. Joshua Knowles from November, 1878 that he read at the semi-centennial of Tallahassee Methodism as a Station, giving a description of early Methodism in Tallahassee in the year 1836. That year, he was a pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church, and recalls the Methodist congregation at the time, as well as other aspects of religion in Tallahassee.

An article for the November 17, 1996 issue of the Tallahassee Democrat titled "'I heard God speak': Her life has brought her face to face with racism, sexism, poverty and the glory of God" by Barbara Hogen. It covers the retirement of a notable female pastor in Tallahassee, Bernyce Hall Clausell. Moreover, it highlights her life, from becoming a minister to becoming a champion of civil rights and gender equality.

A program for the January 26, 2003 service held at St. Mary Primitive Baptist Church in Tallahassee (Fla.) Titled "Homecoming 2003", the service was held in memory of Rev. R. N. Gooden, Mother Doreatha Richardson, and Mother Laura Blake Stokes. The program includes a description of the speakers for the service, a responsive reading guide, and an order of service for the various different celebrations.

An image of the Bethel A.M.E. Church's 2nd building thought to be from 1878. It contains handwritten notes on the side of the copy, including one of Bishop Abram Grant, who was formerly enslaved and later became 19th Bishop of the A.M.E Church in Florida, and is the large man in the center of the image.
